I live at Seaburn but often put my bike in the car so that I can try new routes. I've just come back from Hartlepool and surrounding area today after leaving my car at Wingate. I'm just checking out how far I've been, drop me a line on alyowen63@yahoo.com Alison |

I would suggest the Fir Tree Car Park and then we could join the old railway line from there to get to Wynyard and Hartlepool. Also may I suggest travelling the opposite direction towards sunderland as it has a few more hills to test you. What is everyones thoughts? |

Joined: 05 Jun 2010 Posts: 9 Bike: | hello all, A friend of mine and I are going for a ride on Sunday morning heading towards Hartlepool. Wingate Fir Tree is a good idea for a meeting point as it is somewhere in the middle of peoples routes and it is easy to find without being very far from the cycle network. Let me know what you think and who fancies attending. I suggest 9am. Andy |

Otherwise if you see a group of cyclists and your heading to meet people just stop and ask someone. See people there. Good luck on the coast to coast. What route are you taking? I will be doing it the first weekend in July. Cant wait. |

Joined: 19 Jun 2010 Posts: 4 Bike: | Hi there, I have been reading your Forum and looks as though it's exactly what I'm looking for. My wife rides with me occasionally but I am looking for something more challenging.( no disrespect to her) I ride a road bike (Paganini) and mountain bike (Ridgeback)but am enjoying being on the Mountain bike at the mo. I would love to join anyone who is interested for a ride next weekend.I can travel by car to meet, so starting point not a problem. ( I live in Sunderland).Look forward to hearing from anyone interested. PS I'm 50 (just) but consider myself reasonably fit ish :-),, so like the idea of going at a steady pace! |
