Although not a novice to mountain biking I have only just go back on the bike after quite a while off it, thus my riding agility is not quite where I would like it to be. A couple of friends and I are after going on a weekend cycle trip towards the end of May. We all ride hardtails and are of similar experience levels. I’m finding it quite hard to find a trail that would best suit our wants and was after some recommendations. Ideally the route should be 40-50 miles long, loop or otherwise (loop preferable), in Southern England without too many steep climbs or too many road sections. If anyone has any recommendations, even as a starting point, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance |

So if I were to say anywhere south of Birmingham including South Wales would that help narrow it down? I do realise that this still a rather large area though i dont want to limit my options at this point. Again, thanks to anyone that may be able to recommend something |

There are plenty of Bridal paths, it's quite flat and the few roads you will cross are fairly quiet. Another option is to ride the Cuckoo Trail down to Eastbourn, This is mainly off road (only a small section is on road when you come into Eastbourn) and is also fairly flat. The fish and chips at the end are great!! Where ever you end up going have fun! |
