 Joined: 21 Mar 2009 Posts: 2 Bike: | Hi there my name is karl I have just bought a road bike and am really keen to get out rifing and was wondering who else is in this area, i went out with a few friends from reading round the woodfords and wilton only did 16miles but i didnt have right shorts on and my bum was abit saw so we had to sack it lol, bought some after when i wnet into town so hopefully they will work well...... get in touch if you ever want to go riding. Joined: 01 Apr 2009 Posts: 5 Bike: My Profile | Karl I'm up near Swindon to the north but if you and your mates are looking for some routes head out towards Wilton and turn off R on a minor road and head for Great Wishford and go right along the Wylye valley thro the Langfords/Wylye/Stockton/Boyton/Tytherington and on to the Deverills some great riding with beautiful scenery and quiet roads. If you are looking for a real challenge later in the year have a look at the Wessex 100/50 on Sun 13th Sept. Starts in Bath but goes thro Salisbury on route. Its quite a test for a novice rider but well satifying when you hit the finish line! Good Luck Nantes23 |
