Anyone interested in getting out on the roads around WGC some weekends? Nice countryside north of Stevenage etc Need to push myself a bit further, don't want to join a proper club (I couldn't keep up!)

Hello there,
i take it you are a roadie? I am interested, i have been cycling for about 18 months, admiring the countryside and dreaming of being amongst the peleton in southern france on a sunny day (wakey, wakey) was that an old lady that just passed me on her tricycle? Ooooops better start pedalling.
I am 42, male and just starting to put some enery into 30/40 mile rides. I cycle up to WGC from barnet and recently conquered essendon hill (still sweating). I am not in a club as i cannot commit seriously but do really enjoy getting out on a regular (ish) basis.
Please let me know if you are interested.

Yes, definitely interested - sounds good. Used to live in Barnet so I know that area too (and I come out in a rash just thinking about Essendon Hill!)

Hi, yes we did and we've been out and about a few times since the original post. Always keen to swell the numbers so if you want to come along on the next "Tour" (date to be decided, 35 miles is about the usual distance) give us a shout (steve + @ + myoldschools.co.uk)
Where's your base?
cheers
Steve

Hello Clive,
Yes we are..............Phigs and i that is, we have been since the original posts. If you fancy a spin let me know, we have picked up a couple of people along the way and can count on 3-5 riders, if we're extremely lucky ha, ha.
That is great would love to join in but not sure I can do the 30m plus bit at the moment.
When are you thinking of next being out.

Hello,
we are hoping to get out this saturday morn if you like, we probably keep it between 25-30 miles. We are mates that cycle for fitness and a laugh, so hopefully you won't notice the miles go by.
My number is 075033 18239.

Hi
I would be intrested when you go out the next time, can you drop me a note when you are going out again.
Hi, I just joined this site today.
Ive been cycling in North Herts for a few years now and mainly go out on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and (if im not hungover) Sundays lol. I mainly go round the outskirts of Stevenage mainly on the cycle tracks dodging the broken bottles if im lucky, and into Little Wymondley or round Weston into Willian and back into Stevenage. I`d call myself a novice as i havn`t done more than about 18miles in any one time but would be interested in teaming up with some others.
