Whitley Bay to Scarborough in September

 Joined: 29 Jun 2010 Posts: 149 Bike: My Profile | Hi, I'm trying to find a cycle friendly route from Whitley Bay to Scarborough, one that I could complete in one day, in mid September, so we should still have about 12 hours of daylight I guess. I've checked some websites and it says there is no cycle route from Whitby in NYorks onwards until Scarborough. Is there some kind of break on the National Cycle Route 1? Does anyone know if you can take a minor road before rejoining the N1 ? Would welcome anyone's comments if they've done any part of this ride. Cheers |
