Hey. Me and friends are going to bike from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, to London.
Anyone have any advice? We know it won't be easy and will take a few days, it's all organised down to the last detail. Just wondered if anyone had any advice if you've done something like this before.

Hi deception,

I organised a 400 mile cycle trip around Scotland when I was 16. I spread it out over 7 days which was still quite an effort at that age.

I think the key thing for me was the roads that you pick. Try and pick the quietest roads you can, even if it means an extra 10 miles or so. Theres nothing worse than constantly watching your bank when traffic is wizzing past you.

I used panniers and just took essentials, tried to stock up as we went to avoid carrying too much. Plenty pasta... i seem to remember eating pasta in the morning about 7am in a youth hostel and thinking it was utter madness, but it def helped me.

What plans have you made already?
