I am biking from Chesterfield, Derbyshire to Oxford on Friday the 11th of June and after working out a route on google maps, I have found a relatively safe route that has tota;led 220 miles overall. I have often ridden over 100 miles but have no experience on this cycling marathon, in terms of preperation what should I look to do and during the journey how shall I look to maintain a good speed within a single day?

lots of energy bars start your day early with bannanas & energy bars good supply of energy drinks along the way dont forget to eat as when you energy levels start to get low after couple of hours riding so keep topping up , start off steady and get into your pace ,make up speed along flats keep it constant ,climbs take you time at steady pace building it up to top enjoy the descents be safe , be seen with bright colours, most important enjoy it , agood speed is15mph anything above is good going remeber your be riding along time and you will get tired so have a break not for to long though as youll cool down to much and find it hard to get going again if your doing 15mph you will ride for about 15hours bloody hard days riding early start late evening finish , good luck & enjoy

Same advice as colt35, Last weekend I did a charity bike ride from Liverpool to London 200+ miles in two days, the first day was very gruelling as we did not refuel enough along the way, and so the 2nd day we made sure every hour or 10 miles we ate something either a nutriton bar, half a sandwich or a piece of fruit and kept drinking even when we thought we didnt need it. And definately try and make up your speed on the flats and downhills. our second day of 99miles took us 10 hours whereas the first day of 107miles took 11 hours - I am a novice and prior to this ride the maximum I had cycled was 75miles so you should have no problems!!! Have fun :O)

Thankyou so much, both of you because this is really helpful. Truly I havcent cycled this far and I have always been a bit naive when it comes to nutrition so I now havea template to use and a shop nearby to buy resources from! Thankyou to for the average speed and how to pace myself. I am thinking of setting of around 4 oclock in the morning just to ensure I still get there before 11 in the evening im just praying the weather is good! Once again appreciate both your help I will account for it.

To me, in the weeks leading up to the ride, focus on building your endurance through regular long-distance training rides. Gradually increase the distance and intensity of your rides to mimic the demands of the marathon. Incorporate hill training to prepare for any inclines on your route. I learned this way when join bloxd io where there are many new things to explore. You can refernce this way.

Welcome back! The Planet Busting Galick Gun for Base Vegeta sounds like a game-changer with its added power, flashy effects, and unique mechanics. Excited to see how it shakes up the gameplay, and great job on the series!
