Can anyone give us any advice on the time to arrive and suitable bicycle routes. We thought that we could go from the south to the north or vice versa and though out Ireland and Wales. We would like to travel off the highway, staying in the villages and visiting historic sites. Thanks Barry and Jannine |

January and february tend to be the coldest months in Britain and while march can be quite mild, it can be wet and windy. Our weather tends to come from the south-west as do prevailing winds, So south to north might be easier. As for route suggestions, try looking on the Sustrans website http://www.sustrans.org.uk/ as they have a good selection of routes all over Britain. If you want to plan your own way then I suggest you look at http://ridewithgps.com/ as this allows you to avoid highways if you want. Hope this helps Cheers Chris |
