(and can only afford a 2nd hand 205 if the wife remains in blissful ignorance!) Anyone have one? Any good? (remember, forgiveness is easier to achieve than permission...!) |

Still as good as new, and linked up with Bike route toaster it is awesome!! Great stats after the ride too, but no heartrate or cadence available - no good to me, I don't care about that sort of thing, I do however LUUURRVE looking at where I've been on google earth after going around blind for the day and seeing JUST how hard I worked (altitude, speeds, gradiaent etc..) Get one - I have heard the "better models" are jsut full of useless functions. Get yer self on ebay - mak you will pay is £90 BG |

It is pretty accurate though and shows the routes up well on google, heart rate and cadence very good also, you can programme it to do certain workouts but I've just been using it for the routes I've been doing. |

Joined: 16 Jan 2009 Posts: 498 Bike: My Profile | just to clarify - the 205 is specifically for cycling, and does NOT offer cadence and heart rate monitoring. You need the 305, or above for these functions. Whilst the USB charge does make for a smaller battery, i imagine it would be a pain on long rides, or multiday rides. you can get a charger for the car if you are out and about, though. haven't got one, but am looking to get one on Ebay, so have dome plenty of research. i think the Edge 205 prefers tpx, rather than gpx files... is that right? |
