Joined: 03 Mar 2013 Posts: 3 Bike:	Hi, help me out please cos i'm a bit of a Luddite.I'm trying to work out if i can import a GPX route to my iphone (via a PC) and then follow it as i ride, like you would on a tom tom or similar in a car, couldn't see a section on the site relating to tech queries ? thanks

Joined: 03 Mar 2013 Posts: 3 Bike:	thanks herbie great link, yes i reckon a Garmin device is the ultimate but i better not go there just yet... new bike to pay for first ! a good work around for me seems to be an app, have just plotted a route and emailed it to the iphone which i can then follow on the road and capture loads of info too...thanks again

I've just installed Cyclemeter on my iPhone and needed to work out the same thing. If you have a .gpx file already, then the simplest way I found was to use Dropbox:
1. Install (and sign-in to) Dropbox on both your PC and your phone
2. Drop the files into a Dropbox folder on your PC.
3. Open Dropbox on your phone and navigate to the file. Click the 'open with/send' icon bottom left and select the app (e.g. Cyclemeter) you wish to use.

To create a GPX file, I used Bike Route Toaster, http://www.bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx
