Hampshire cycle route advice wanted

Joined: 24 Sep 2013 Posts: 1 Bike: | Newbie on the site so apologies if this is not protocol but am looking for any wisdom anyone's willing to share on cycle routes going south from Reading. Essentially I work in Fleet and live in Reading and am looking to start up cycling as a commute two or three times a week to re-establish lost fitness levels. I've done the whole online route-plotting thing trying to chart out a course that avoids the A33 and A327, as I have no desire to be dismembered by a 3 ton truck, and think I have such a route worked out, but, I'd appreciate any experiences/knowledge of any routes in this area that are bike safe and dont meander too absurdly!. Many thanks for any wisdom/experience shared! |

Joined: 13 Aug 2013 Posts: 7 Bike: | Another way is using STRAVA, you can get routes from people and friends that you follow. I have found you can download the GPX routes from there. There is another option as well, you can create your own routes by using http://www.bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx Just a couple of options for you. Cheers Ian |
