Im trying to sort out a cycling holiday for next year for me and the wife (she not quite as up for it as myself but is keen to get some miles under her tyres) I have been thinking about a few days(3 - 5) with a stop in a hotel each night I live in north yorkshire and we are wanting to take our own bikes so not really wanting to drive 100's of miles to the start point. I was wondering weather to put the bikes on a train and then cycle back. Anyone got any advice and or routes maybe up the east coast would be great. Here's hoping for some help! thanks and keep pedding... Addy. |

Either getting a train to say Hull head north for a few days then head back west, or go west Blackpool and I garauntee a wonderful ride through the dales. Your a lucky guy Addy, I'm stuck here in Northamptonshire with nothing too amazing. Saying that the rolling country roads aren't aweful, just nothing on the Dales and the North york moors. Maybe a ride up into scotland might be a nice idea..... I will have to try and find a nice route and put it to her in doors! hahaha Cheers Guys and I will keep you posted as to what I end up doing. All the best Addy |
