Hi everyone I have a query that I hope someone can help with. I am looking to invest in a bike to ride to work as well as a source of fitness. However I do wear hearing aids in both ears and I have had family members and friends advise that it couldnt possibly be safe for me to ride along a busy road with cars and buses whilst having some restrictions in hearing.

I dont think there is such a holdback and would have thought its up to the car drivers to pay as much attention as myself.

Could anyone shed any light on this.

Many thanks

I can understand the concern here but there are no restrictions as far as I know.
But car drivers in the rush hour seem to have a mind of some thing other than normal.
I would suggest you have a handle bar mirror and be very careful cycling to work.
Also ware as much colour as you can then at least they should see you.

By the way not ALL Car drivers but some are not to keen on cyclist.
I would also include truck and buses.
Please no one round up on me about drivers I AM AN EX Trucker and I still hold a clean licence just dont drive for a living any more and I have been a cyclist to long to remember.

I agree with rustyspoke, nothing wrong with cycling and being hard of hearing so please don't let this stop you enjoying cycling. A mirror is a fantastic idea and will give you confidence of being able to see what's going on behind you instead of simply relying on hearing approaching traffic.

Enjoy

Thanks for the replies i appreciate the time taken by you both.

I think the mirror option is a good idea and be something I will look into pursuing.

Thanks

Very actual question for me now, as I am going to use hearing aids next week, and till that moment I avoid cycling. By the way, here are helpful ListenClear reviews in case someone is seeking for an adequate device.

Firstly, it's important to note that the capacity of a tent is not always a perfect representation of how many people can fit inside. Manufacturers usually determine tent capacity based on the number of sleeping bags that can fit side by side on the floor. While this gives you a rough idea, it doesn't take into account other factors such as gear storage, personal space, and comfort. try this web-site

As a motorist, I am always very concerned about cyclists on the road. Not everyone follows the rules and that's bad. Be careful on the road, always. And if you prefer to travel by car, I advise you to take it from 14CARS.

Navigating roads with hearing aids might pose challenges but it is not insurmountable. Try using visual cues like hand signals mirrors or riding during quieter times to mitigate any potential risks and ensure a safer biking experience.

I am grateful for your contributions. I've read a lot of material that is connected to this topic! In contrast to numerous other articles, I was left with a really clear impression after reading yours. I really hope that you will continue to write postings that are equally as enlightening as this one and others for us and everyone else to read! word wipe usa
