Do you have any more information on the route that you took? I would love to know what maps you used.

Kind regards

Okay tried updating route on here but failed for some reason... needless to say the whole affair was quite painless ( to organise ) We left SW4 and made our way down to Newhaven for a 0930 crossing Leaving clapham common at 0230am arriving 0830. 3 hour crossing Dieppe cost £22 ish . Overnight in Dieppe great food by the ocean slept in Ibis hotel 3 to a room cheap... Then followed the 45km Avenue Verte ( green way ) disused railway line tarmac road.... beautiful flat ride.. lunch on route stop over one night then cracked on to Paris. There is a couple of direct routes to Paris but be aware when you reach the suburbs of Paris you need to pick your route carefully as cycles are not allowed on the main roads.
We used our iphone and google maps to get us in... simple method and very effective...

i was on a mountain bike with slick tyres workable the other 2 had racers which was easier.. most useful item was my water camel sack life-saver.. maps were ordinary OS maps that generally cover the route i can get details if you wish.. oops said the above already..

Euro star back £80 plus £20 for bike to be hung up on train.. worth it ... saves the hassle of stripping bike down and boxing up...
whole trip was about 300 each travel accommodation food wicked....

Hi londonboy,
Been thinking about something similar for a week's break later this year. Your description of the route and practical details have convinced me to renew my passport!!
I'm traveling from Manchester so will drive down to coast, park the car and follow your itinerary plus 3 days touring before returning via the chunnel.
Am getting a satnav for the bike which will track my progress but yes ... must get a camelback !
