Use your ride to commute to work more often? Just up your average mile? Up your average speed on that bloody little computer thats telling you your not going as fast as you actually think you are? Me? why, thanks for asking. Entering a triathlon. But I do have to find the money for a bike good enough to enter with. Will be enter a few 10 and 15km runs early spring then tri's by mid summer. Go on I dare you to tell us yours. Mark1989 |

If you have no other option but to cycle then your going to cycle. and Misanthrope, it really depends on what level you are at now, it was all about building up the miles in a structured plan for me. I'd write on my calender how many miles I was going to do on either sat or sun, and I wouldn't let myself go home until I'd done then. It does make it sound a bit hard on myself but I still made sure I enjoyed it, and it wasnt too hard. Good luck both Mark1989 |

You'll be surprised how many heaps of junk there are on the racks amidst the £4000 lumps of carbon. I did my first on an old MTB with slicks before buying a second hand bike. Sprint tri - it's only 20K me? getting my knee sorted out and getting back on the 13 mile each way commute. have already entered the Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon in July. |
