New to road cycling, looking for routes in south wales

Joined: 25 Jun 2009 Posts: 3 Bike: My Profile | For me the best way to find road routes is to just go out on your own with a rough plan in mind of where you want to go, and then if you see an interesting detour just go down it, and then down the next one, etc. I find that by going out on my own there is no-one there to moan at me when I decide to deviate or get lost or take 3 hours longer than originally planned. South Wales is full of great rides, we've got the Bwlch and the Rhigos for mountain climbs and decents, the Vale of Glamorgan for fast circular rides and Porthcawl, Ogmore and Southerndown for coastal tracks. |
