I ride on the road to get to college and I just plow through the wet and cold weather, but saying that I ride a jump bike with mtb tires so I will have more grip that road tires.
When I cant go for long distance road rides I tend to go up dunstable downs (chiltern hills) as I live 1min away :-)

I ride till the weather is so bad you cant ride.
Cycle to from work all the time.
Ok going as down hill most of way but on way home uphill nearly all way.
I have improved my climbing but never realy been a climber.

Cycle to and from workon a mountain bike at the mo until i get my road bike next month.

Cycle in all weather but unfortunately do not have suitable clothing so i tend to get soaked right through in a downpour.

Not good :p

This is a good question...I am relatively new to this 'cycle for enjoyment' thing so I will be interested to know what everyone does. I am thinking about taking up running again, just to keep my legs moving. I can not afford one of those trainer things that you attach your bike to but I have a good set of trainers that I used last year.
Once again, good debate.
Chris.

traditionally I stop riding in the winter purely because the roads are worse and the drivers blinder however am looking to buy a Spez Langster fixie to keep my carbon safe and also am fortunate to have a Fortius VR Trainer so want to maintain some fitness rather than starting next year and spend more time playing catchy uppy

Looks like I will be mountainbiking and running this winter.
Might take the road bike out on a clear dry day.

Get the cyclocross bike out which can be fitted with full mudguards for when it gets really wet. Track nights tuesday and thursday down at reading velo and if its really bad, boring roller sessions in the garage
