I did the "Harbours" Bike ride in Portsmouth in June last year (32miles) - and thats about my lot. However, I am now going to cycle from Portsmouth to Newcastle in April with my brother to raise money for Help for Heroes. We are just wondering how the best way would be to plan a route. Is there a website around that helps calculate routes for cyclists. Does anyone have any experience cycling a route similar to this. If so, how "hilly" is it etc..? Also, we are looking at doing this over 5 days, so we'll be averaging about 80miles a day. Is this a realistic goal? Thanks for any help! Mark |
