Santiago de Compostella pilgrimage route by bike .

Joined: 23 Feb 2012 Posts: 40 Bike: My Profile | Hello...I have the desire and maybe the strength to do this long distance ( 800 klm ) cycle ride in September / October this year , and was wondering if anyone else would like to join me . This route runs from St Jean Pied de Port in south west France to Santiago in North west Spain and as stated is about 800 klms long with some hard climbs . I did this route in 2006 in a steady 13 days and the memories of this are still vivid so i wish to do this one more time while i have the health and the will to do it . I have all the information about this route but in brief ..drive down to St J PP ..park car at the sports centre ( as many other pilgrims do )....complete the route and then catch the A L S A bus back to Biarritz then cycle the last 60 klm back to the car at St J PP . If anyone is interested i will start training as soon as you reply ...i need it . Regards .... John |
