I would be interested in views from the members of this forum on Sustrans. Do people know about them and their aims, do they agree what they are trying to do and the way in which they are going about it. For myself having seen a different attribute towards cycling when I worked in Germany, I am keen to get involved in any initiative that will help bring that much needed change to this this country. Sustrans seems a worthwhile charity to support Any views would be much appreciated |

I told Sustranbs not to bother, Jeeze.. what's important looking after cycle path's? A referance indeed! |

Then the sustrans people messed up and told everyone that CRB checks had to be done so no more volunteers. They have purposefully SCALED DOWN the time and the accessibility of the session as much as possible. It used to be 3-7 every wednesday. And I take it they got paid their salary from the charity" Now it has been progressively scaled down to 3-6:30 every two weeks and a booking is required. Furthermore , to make the booking you have to read off an email address that is kept in the darkest part of the park. The bloke running the session has taken over from someone that lives 100 yards away. -LOGISTICAL LOONATICS! The sustrans worker that now runs the session has sabbotaged my CRB check. I gave them EVERYTHING TWICE. When I by passed them and sent the bundle straight to Bristol, they decided to throw the health and safety book at me for fetching a kids football off the roof and looking for a lost D-lock that some kid could have chucked up during the session. Chech this... instead of the lad from sustrans that lives 100 yards away doing the session (which he started) Sustrans have decided to assign some prejudiced A-hole that DRIVES INTO THE PARK ALL OVER THE GRASS to do a bike repair session he has tried his utmost to scale down , and oust me in the process because I have always pointed out that parks are not for cars. And that the car park was adjacent to the park. Sustrans employed another "repair mechanic" that didnt even see a SNAPPED REAR AXEL! I know this because it was the first week after they decided to sabotage the session with a surprise CRB demand out of the blue, which happened to be in the middle of the summer when hoards of people needed bikes fixing, which I excel at. I set up myself at the gate of their session. I was busy constantly fixing bikes. I looked at one that the sustrans workers had let roll off and they had failed to see a snapped rear axel AND that the rear panier was for a 26 inch wheel and too small for the 700 wheel. Total fraudsters. This classes as embezzlement in my book. sustrans workers are responsible for damaging my local communities car free park with their traffic. This is all true. Sustrans are SCAM. They paint irrelevant white lines on roads when theres already a cycle path on a wide pavement , I call them statistical cyclepaths, and sustrans will applaud them instead of point out it isnt worthy of extra statistical data on cyclepath distances. They have no backbone. They are totally lame. I see the cyclist movement getting hijacked by a bunch of money grabbing fakes and liars. And all I wanted to do was fix bikes for my local community in a car free park. F8ck you SUSTRANS. SUS _PISH! |
