I'm looking for an area where we can pitch the tent then enjoy simple cycle rides in the countryside. I've no aversion to hills but the smaller the terrain gradient the better because where we live there is nothing but hills! |

There are some lovely villages in Cheshire, you could look around the Tarporley area where you could visit Beeston Castle and Candleworks. You could take some nice rides around Delamere Forest. I believe Norfolk is really flat and beautiful but have never visited there as yet. Cornwall or Dorset are nice places to visit and ride around too. Where are you from? And are you looking for road routes or tracks/trails? |

It's not too far away by car, plenty of caravan parks and campsites there. Each day you could do a different loop heading out of Perth and coming back later on at night, and still having some night life too? Some of the views around rural perthsire are stunning. There are hills too, but nothing drastic! Happy |

A couple of good cycle tracks have been made from old railway tracks and there is a short one along the banks of the River Medina, Newport to Cowes and return. There are quiet roads good pubs, bed and breakfast and the weather is usually better than the mainland. If you feel fit you can ride the cycle route round the island, about seventy miles. Give it a whirl, you might like it. |

The pub is situated more or less on the Pennine Way cycle route, with access to the many cycle routes along the former railway lines. |
