I have a curvature of the spin, and I am worried that my back will give me pain if I try and get back into it again and put me off. What's the best way of doing it please? Also can anyone tell me if Canyon make good cycle helmets? |

I got good advice to start off cycling about 4miles a day gradually building on that. My last trip I cycled 22miles on the one day, don't want to sicken yourself. I plan to do a trip in the spring see what happens. Not sure about your helmet mine is a giro. Good luck derrywan |

In May 2010 I completed Lands End to John O'Groats in 2 weeks 1000 miles the long way round. I am still heavily overweight but aim to ride Rome to Southend-on-Sea via London in September 2011. I still suffer from having snapped and Achilles Tendon which took 7 years to overcome, so running was not an option. If I can do it so can you. Consider the problems when they arise not before they do. If you kind find someone of a similar standard to ride with so much the better, and if you can find someone to pull you out of your comfort zone periodically this would be brilliant. If not don't let it stop you just get out and enjoy your bike and the open air. If home is anywhere near Essex let me know and I would be happy to join you or anyone looking for an occasional cycling partner. |
