It is set in a fabulous unspoilt landscape with outstanding views of the sea and the hills. The Applecross Peninsula is renowned as a gem in Scotland’s crown of natural wonders." it is a killer, but the beer and food and the view at the Applecross Inn are worth it. it goes up....and up....and up....and up.... there is an annual race there short course round a loop - about 50 miles long course around a bigger loop at 90 ish miles |

Long climbs and also plenty of shorter, vicious ones - string a few of these together and you begin to feel them!! Not as busy as the Lakes and not nearly as far to go as Scotland! Recommended.
