It has lots of lovely countryside walks but as I'm quite new to cycling I'm just discovering the many cycle routes around. It seems we have the best of both worlds here. I'm off on my holidays soon to visit my daughter in Tamworth and thinking of taking the bike. Does anyone know of any canal cycle routes around that neck of the woods? Pam |

Joined: 10 Jul 2009 Posts: 19 Bike: My Profile | I know what you mean Fixie, we do have cycle lanes up here in County Durham but I almost never use them as they are usually poorly maintained and can be quite twisty, restricting speed. The roads are preferable but of course have a whole host of hazards of their own as I'm sure we're all only too aware! |
