I have an '08 Specialized Rockhopper Disc - I added CB Eggbeaters (SL's) and a few scratches due to taking a crash course in how to fly a bike! :-) Other than that it's standard at the moment... I'm really impessed with the bike tho - very light compared to bikes I'm used to, I've never had hydraulic disc brakes before either - take a bit of getting used to... over the bars a few times at first. |

Joined: 29 Nov 2016 Posts: 1 Bike: | Okay. I'm 60 years old, new to cycling and this site. In October I bought a used Inspired Cycle Engineering (ICE)Sprint, it's a recumbent tadpole trike. The two front brakes are Avid BB7 discs, with a Avid V brake on the rear as a parking brake. 20 inch wheels currently with Schwalbe Citizen tyres. Rear suspension. It comes as standard fit with SRAM X5 9 speed grip shifts, which I may change to bar ends shortly. and a ICE custom Capreo 9-32 speed cassette. The gear range is 15.7"-103.5" (1.255m -8.28m), whatever that means. Just clocked up my first 500 miles since buying it on the 18th Oct. Yay ! John |

I have an apollo radar, 14 kg in weight, 18 speed shimano TZ gears (3 on the front and 6 on the back). It has a front disk brake and a back V-brake. I run on 26x2.10 tyres. Even though it's a pretty cheap bike at £150. It still has got me to Barton 5 times in just under 1 hour. I prefer to long distance cycling and the furthest i have done is 82 mile ride through scunthorpe. |
