Wigan (Greater Manchester) to Gravesend (Kent)

Joined: 16 Feb 2009 Posts: 1 Bike: | Hi all I am planning on cycling to Gravesend during the summer months (assuming that the weather improves) this year. As I have never cycled such a long distance I am unsure as how to proceed with planning a route. I am planning on cycling around 100 miles per day and expect to complete the route within 3 days. Has anyone cycled this particular route before or even sections of the route ? Also, any advice would be appreciated as I'm at a complete loss with regards to the most feasible roads to travel on. Joined: 16 Jul 2008 Posts: 8 Bike: My Profile | I am in a similar predicament, I am planning Lancaster to Wimbledon, probably about 80m per day. I know the route to Wigan but beyond that it is an unknown. I would imagine that we would follow a similar route for part of the journey. Graham |
