If anyone intends to continue to cycle through the winter, you might like to know that the Aldi stores are carrying a range of winter cycle wear.

So far I have bought a Hi Vis yellow waterproof jacket with reflective strips, and lots of pockets including one at the back with a zip.

A long sleeve 3 pocket winter lycra top.

A winter jacket which is waterproof, windproof and breathable.

A pair of leggings with padded seat, and a sticky strip at the ankles to stop it riding up.

I have been impressed with the quality and overall fit, the real test will be when the temperatures drop and I drag myself from a warm house to a cold outdoors. Feel confident that the new gear will do what it is designed to do.

My Latest Route: Aug 2009 Abingdon to Long Crendon and Long Hanborough Loop.

Hi Rob, They ranges from 12.99 to 15.99 and the quality is very good. I used some of it last weekend to try it out and was most impressed.

One thing to be aware off, once they sell out they don't replace. They get the stock, then once sold that is it for a while. I was told they get the stuff in about twice a year so worth popping in now and again.

Hope you find something as it is well worth while and cheap. They also do gloves, locks, lights, winter socks, waterproof overshoes which also come with a thin hat that fits under your cycle helmet.

Good luck and happy hunting.

All ALDI stock is Crane Sports - Running, cycling, motorbike gear. Good value for money. Coolmax padded leggings £8.99. Lidl do the same kind of promotions; maybe even cheaper(MTB gloves £1.99), both have been doing these lines for years.

I have a winter cycling team and I would like to make prints on our clothes. What do you recommend?

I can recommend you a great website where you can learn about Printful sale & deals, which will help you make prints for your team's winter clothes at favorable prices. I made such special special costumes for my team last year and everyone really liked it. It can also be a great gift for any holiday.
