After numerous punctures i tried gel filled tubes these did help although recently i bought continental puncture proof tyres.I thought if i used the gel tubes along with the tyres i would have extra safety, My problem is now trying to fit them as they seem to be very tight and not damaging the tyre valves or tubes. I have to admit ive broken numerous presta valves already and dont seem too have any luck with them, i may be too heavy handed i guess but any help on what im doing wrong or tips to help me would very much appreciated, im desperate to get back out on the road but feel so frustrated as i cant even seem to do the basics. |

There is a way to put them on without levers but involves cable ties or velcro tags to hold the tyres in place whilst you get the entire tyre fitted in. There is a youtube video that I found useful. There was a post on this site's bike shed forum that had the link on it. but you should be able to find it on youtube searching fitting marathon plus tyres. Good luck Buster |
