cycling in the UK

Joined: 26 Dec 2007 Posts: 1 Bike: | I'd like to come to the UK and do a cycling trip for a week. Which route would you recommend? I'd prefer to visit Cornwall or Devon. Nothing too taxing but good scenery and villages. I think I would hire a bike. Any advice would be appreciated as I have never done an overseas trip before. |

Joined: 31 Jan 2008 Posts: 4 Bike: My Profile | Depending on your level of fitness - the Lake District is fantastic for scenery - but at a price - very hilly - but worth it. Cornwall and Devon ok and you could do some nice coast routes on the North Coast of Devon. Be aware the wind is normally from the south west so plan as necessary. |

Never done this trip but heard it take you into some nice areas, the Cornwall Clay Trails guide is available from the sustrans web site, http://www.sustransshop.co.uk/index.php?f=itemdetl.php&p=FPT15, and lists the Eden project (a must see if your in that area of the UK).
