Joined: 01 May 2010 Posts: 6 Bike: | twenty years ago i started end to end and never finished it! i have been out at weekends clocking up the miles and now feel ready to do it! this time i have no one to do it with, i start on 16 may and finish when ever i finish i am now planning my route but unsure best places to stay b&bs and youth hostels ect! i am limited with moneys so what is cheapest way to do it and best routes, any suggestions will be welcome , cheers roger |

After i did it the 1st time my then missus decided that she would like to ride it.So i ended up doing it again.. I could have give you some notes on how we did it and the route we took... |

Joined: 01 May 2010 Posts: 6 Bike: | so twenty years later i finally completed it , very hard but never the less not bad going and raised some moneys for cherity on the way 12days and not one punctuer, something to do with having silocone walled tyres well worth the 40 quad each, also i plannned my route every day in the evenings just before bed, stayed in b&bs range from 22- 59 a night,best buy along the way was gel seat as the seat after four days made me very saw arse, best moment was climming nevis to the sound of bag pipes, then being claped by coach of german tourist on the descent, worst moment was twisting my ankle in carlisle from near miss from a bus & three days with that and rain wind & pain to the end,agony and all on my tod.
