If you haven't got full easy movement then lubricate it, and if that doesn't work look at the condition of the cable. |

Disconnect the cable. 3.Adjust the "H" screw so that the top jockey wheel and chain are in a straight alignment. 4.Push the rear mech while slowly turning the pedals over the largest sprocket, adjust the "L" screwso that the jockey wheel aligns with the chain. 5. Check the cable is inserted to all the cable stops, there is no snagging under the frame. check the gear lever is in the correct position. 6.wind the barrel adjuster in fully then back off two clicks(on rear of deraileur). 7.connect the cable paying attention to where it is clamped. Do not pull the cable too tightly. 8.Slowly turn the pedals and make one geat change. 9.Fi there is a gear change then change the gear lever back to the starting position and slightly slacken off the tensionon the cable. 10.If the gear does not move then while turning the pedals slowly unwind the barrel adjuster until the gear changes. 11.Test the range of gears up and down. If the gears do not work the most likely cause is the position of the "H" screw. Disconnect the cable and re check the alignment of the chain and jockey wheel. I hope this is of help to you, any comments on how you get on would be appreciated. best of luck. Paul.H. |
