has anybody done the london to cambribge ride ? doing it this year in july just like some info on the route

I don't know the exact route that they do, but the first bit to Roydon will be as flat as a pancake if they send you along the Canal. I suspect the Challenging bit will be between Furneax Pelham and Duxford where there is a range of long rolling hills and the altitude can reach 450 feet. The roads are amazingly quiet in that area and its a lovely area except if the wind blows.

Yes, that is where the hills would be, some of them can be nearly a mile long in places although they are not necessarily really steep, however it does depend upon the route they select.

i did it in 1988 when 16.
Distance and hills dont hurt at that age!
That said, it's East Anglia, so you can forget any real hills!

ta dudley it,s my first long ride, done 40 miles the other day but that was the lea river toe path no hills.but like you say go for it!!
