I have a Giant NRS3 which is good for going on track and in the woods but it is hard work on the road i have just done 17 miles on it and it took me 1 hour 35 and it was a killer lol i am not a serious rider just tring to get a bit fitter .
If you are happy with a second hand bike, EBAY often has some cracking bargains.
Know what size you need,
know what you are looking for, and ask for extra, more detailed photos if you are unclear of anything.
£300 could go a long way on Ebay
Depending on where you live, there may be lots in your local area, and you'll be able to view.
If you live in the a&se end of nowhere, you'll have to rely on the internet.
A friend recently bought a six month old Boardman Team Carbon (£999.99 new) for £450 on Ebay - you could hardly tell it had been ridden.
Not sure what size i need i will have to go the our bike shop to fined out i am 5ft10, there are so many frame sizes on ebay so realy need to no what size to get
Hi for £350 you could try the Carerra TDF or Virtuoso Road bikes they look good! I ve had a Carerra Hybrid and its been one of the best buys ever! Worth checking them out!
I bought the Boardman Team Road 2011 just 3 months ago and so far its been very good!!
If you can push your budget up slightly the Boardman range starts about £500.
Wow dudley that s a good deal on ebay, a Team Carbon new at £999, going for £450 and only 6 months old!! (Bargain!)
Echo the sentiments above re: the Carrera TDF. I bought a TDF SE from Halfords about 6 years ago - they were only 200 pounds then! I've just had it serviced again and it's fantastic. Get good speed (albeit it's not the fastest bike you can get) - the only problem is the tyres I had haven't always lasted. Good ride tho and great value for money.
Ive had a Carrera mountain bike for about a year now, cost approx £280,and ive never had a problem with it,and find it a very good bike.
Ive recently bought a Carrera road bike too,and this too is a very well built bike.

If you can't afford a good new one the principle being always buy the best you can afford, then buy a good used one, I have bough two bikes from ebay that have serv ed me well for years and saved pounds. You are more likely to use a good bike than a rubbish one.
