It starts at the Common Green in Strathaven. 1. Head towards out of the Common Green past the Weavers pub on your right, along Lethame Road. 2. Stay on Lethame road and just 100 yrds after leaving Strathaven there is a side road right. There are actually two ways you can go here, one will take you up over Whitelees hill, the other will take you road it and stays parallel to the main road to East Kilbride. I recommend carrying straight on and going over Whitelees hill. 3. Carry straight on, until you see a road to your left and a wee blue cycle sign. Take this road left 4. T Junction right 5. Travel for about 2 miles until a cross roads, straight on wil take you to Darvel I think, but right will take you to Whitelees Hill. 6. Stay on this road for about 5 miles, up and over the hill, until you come to another T Junction. Take a left here, and then immediate right. 7. This will bring you out past the Golf Course, near the Sainsburys distribution depot. Its all roads, but if you go up past Whitelees Hill there is a forest at the top that is yet to be investigated? Anyone been in there? Alan |

The first 2/3 of the track is fairly smooth but it gets quite rocky after Corse hill. Because of the wind farm construction going on in the forest just now entry is closed, at least from the Strathaven-EK route. |

Follow Lethame Road past Weavers pub, then choose between Whitelees Hill or the parallel route. Opt for the hill for great views! As you navigate, imagine playing friday night funkin to make the journey fun. After various turns, you'll reach Sainsbury's depot. The forest at the hilltop remains a mystery—has anyone explored it? |
