Hi there, I am looking for the best route to cycle from Troon to Glasgow, I have seen one for A77 and also via Kilwinnoch. Looking for some advise as we are not all well experienced cyclists, so looking for the safest and less hilly version rather than the shortest. Thanks for any advice

keep on cycle track from troon through irvine to kilwinning follow cycle route along back roads past dary to longbar pick up cycle track back of longbar going through lochwinnoch johnstone paisley to glasgow good route mostly cycle track.hope this helps.

I cycled from Paisley to Troon last week, as got lost going the other way the last time. Best is the cycle route. Leave Troon head up by Irvine to Kilwinning then follow the signs (turn right through Kilwinning town centre). - Then up back of Kilwinning you follow farm roads up back of Dalry until just north of Kilbirnie/ Glencarnoch. U then have a very pleasurable 20 mile cyvcle path to Paisley via Lochwinnoch, then from Paislwey Canal st sign posted to Paisley. From Troon about 40 miles. very nice run. - Alex
