I assume you're talking about routes 7 &/or 75?

They're only lit in certain sections, so, you'll need some decent lights.

The route from Paisley via Kilmalcolm and Lochwinnoch (route 75 I think)

What parts don't have lights, and which ones have?
As I was thinking in doing this route late night or early morning

I know the Linwood stretch doesn't...

The NCN isn't lit as a rule unless using public paths. Sustrans do not have the funding to light them all!

The paths are pretty safe once you get away from Paisley/Linwood. If you're riding at night, then you arer required by law to have front and rear lights anyway.
