Joined: 16 Jan 2009 Posts: 498 Bike: My Profile | you cannot cycle on any motorways (M8, M9, M90 etc etc) These are blue on most maps you cannot cycle on some dual carriageways. These look like motorways, but aren't. These are usually sign-posted if you use www.bikeroutetoaster.com and select the 'cycle' option it will plot routes for you on quiet roads |

Joined: 29 Jun 2010 Posts: 149 Bike: My Profile | You definitely can't use the A726 road from East Kilbride to Paisley on the South to South West side of Glasgow, I unfortunately joined this road and had to get off it pretty quickly during my LEJOG. |
