London to Brighton Bike Ride 2013

Joined: 18 Apr 2013 Posts: 1 Bike: | A group of my friends and I participated in L2B last year and were planning on registering again for it this year. However, I noticed that registration has now closed before we signed up! Since we have already begun training and really wanted to participate in this particular event again, what are the barriers to joining the event without registering? We were planning on making the £35 entry fee donation to the BHF so as to not feel guilty. Many thanks for any responses about just turning up on the day (I'd be interesting in knowing if they check you have registration details, etc - I don't recall having to provide anything in 2012, but want to double check online.)  Joined: 25 Feb 2010 Posts: 372 Bike: My Profile | Nobody is going to pull you over and say get off the course. the start is a bit of a free for all and nobody takes any note of the allotted staggered start times. Many people join in on the route including the roller bladers making use of the open roads. I would say "go for it", make your donations and have a good day. |
