Cycle Steps
Mainly traffic free loop around a stunning Loch. The initial hill is the Dukes pass, this is quite long and steep in places but once over the down hill is superb. the rest of the route is mainly undulating but is rewarded with a cafe stop at the top of the loch or you can wait till you get back to Aberfoyle.

this a very nice run with a very steep climb
at the start but well worth it as theres a great run off right after this ,then its slight ups and downs round the loch (good tea
room at head of loch katrine)then a easy run back to aberfoyle

Steep, steady climb at the start from Aberfoyle, however that is the worst part. Good challenge for average fit cyclist. we cycled on hybrid tyres rather than road bikes and did as a gals day out. Stunning views and some great downhills with scary hairpins. Cycle time around 3.5 hours however we had 2 coffee stops and 1.5 hour lunch, so 6 hours in total - well we worked hard for cake!

We really enjoyed this yesterday. March 2016. We will definitely do this route again even my husband who struggled a wee bit agreed. We headed left out off Aberfoyle towards Loch Ard and came back over the Dukes Pass that left us puffing and the steep descent into Aberfoyle was exciting. So glad we never done the loop the other way around. There are places to get a great photo and have a cuppa tea or even something to eat. Can''t wait to go back. It took us 2hrs 50mins with a few stops and we slept like logs that night :)
