I did a version of this ride on Saturday. Instead of taking the main road through Akebar we went down the country lanes through Finghall and other small hamlets. There was no traffic and absolutely peaceful. It was easy to park the car at Cover Bridge and was a great cycle down hill back to the car at the end of the ride. Also worth a quick pit stop at High Jervaux farm for their famous Brymore ice cream and then a quick look around Jerveaux Abbey before the final 2 miles. | ||
