From Pilochry, around Loch Faskally, crossing the River Garry at the base of Killiecrankie. Then off road, taking a turn into what appears to be a field. This part is sign posted and easy to follow. When you get to a monument, which is only a couple of hundred meters through the gate, head left through another gate. From here follow the path until you see a steep hill veering almost behind you. This will take you down to the river. Follow the signs for coronation bridge. There are some rocky sections so be careful. After you cross the bridge there are a few steps to climb, but nothing serious. Take a left on the road and proceeding down the banks of Loch Faskally. When you get to the A9 there is a turn off to your left, sign posted as a cycle route to Pitlochry. Head to the Dam and Pitlochry Festival Theatre. Again there are a few steps here so you may need to pick your bike up. Lovely cycle though. |
