This is a road route, mainly on A and B roads. Go over the hill on the A587 to Plymouth roundabout and turn left onto Garstang Road, A586. Stay on this, going past Poulton Industrial Estate, until you get to an Esso petrol station at the A585 junction. Turn left onto Mains Lane, A585, and follow this to the next set of traffic lights, where you turn right, off the A585 and onto Shard Road, A588. Follow the A585 across the river and on through Hambleton and Stalmine. After Stalmine the A585 takes two sharp right hand turns and heads through Stakepool, Cockerham and Thurnham and on until you arrive at the A6 roundabout in Lancaster. Take the 3rd exit (or turn right) onto Greaves Road, A6, and follow the A6 through Galgate, Garstang, Barton and on into Broughton. In Broughton, turn right at the traffic lights onto Woodplumpton Lane, B5269, and follow this through Inskip, Elswick and on to the B5260 T junction just before Singleton. At the T junction turn right onto Station Road, B5260 and follow the road into Singleton. In Singleton, turn left at the mini-roundabout, off the B5260 and onto the B5266, still called Station Road. Follow the B5266 through Hardhorn on till the big A587 roundabout. Take the 3rd exit (or turn right) onto St Walburga's Road, A587, and follow this to the A586, Plymouth roundabout, which you went through near the start. Go straight over the roundabout onto Plymouth Road, A587, and on over the hill back to the start point. |
