A relatively easy, but undulating, road route, mainly on country roads, with about 1900 feet of elevation. The first 6 miles can be done on Cycle paths and the route between Shoreham and Newhaven pretty much follows NCN2. This is a ride I actually use as a commute on Sunday mornings, the only difference is that I start the route in Newhaven and ride the loop to Brighton and then after work ride the last 9 miles to Newhaven. But for ease of use I put the start and finish in Brighton. (Please note that the route map reflects a finish at Shoreham by Sea. The time and distance does not therefore include the final 5 miles between Shoreham and Brighton. This needs to be taken into account) |
