This is one of the routes for the annual Burgess Hill Bike Ride held on Sunday 8th June with 752 cyclists taking part. There were 10, 24 and 40 miles routes and full details of all 3 routes are available on the official web site at www.burgesshillbikeride.co.uk This 40 mile route is mainly country roads and the hills are not too severe although you'll work a little harder in the north-east section. Take care crossing the A272 at Newick and watch out for faster traffic on the stretch south from Sheffield Park to North Chailey (A275) and the short stretch heading west from there on the A272 before turning left towards Wivelsfield Green. | ||
