This is a road route, on a mix of A and B roads and country lanes, with at least one hill descent. Starting at Texeco Garage in Charvil, head out the Old Bath Road, A3032. Take the right turn into Park Lane and follow this out into the countryside. If you started this route from a different point, the Lands End Pub is a good place to refuel, before getting your feet wet cycling through the Ford !! You then turn up the A321 towards Twyford. Follow the A321 past Twyford Train Station and enter Twyford village. In Twyford turn right onto the A3032 and follow this to the A4 junction. Turn right onto the A4 and then take the left turn onto Tag Lane and follow this and Blakes Road towards Wargrave, before descending the hill into Wargrave village. After refueling at the St George & Dragon, on the River Thames, head out of Wargrave on the A321 and follow this to the A4 junction. Turn right and follow the New Bath Road, A4, back to the Texeco Garage at Charvil. |
