Cycle Steps
This is a nice quick blast, road route, mainly on country roads, but with a ride along the A137 towards the end, that has a few small climbs that can test in a headwind.
Head north on Severall's Lane over the A12 and continue till the T junction. Turn right onto Straight Road and follow this road through Boxted, Langham Hall, across the A12 and on till the B1029 T junction.
Turn left onto the B1029 and head into Dedham. In Dedham go straight ahead into Brook Street, leaving the B1029 when it turns sharp left. Follow the road to the fork, where you take a left into Manningtree Road. Follow this road till the T junction.
At the T junction turn left into Jupes Hill and go across the railway bridge. Continue on till the T junction at the A137. Turn right onto the A137 and follow this through Ardleigh and across the A120. Just after Welshwood Park, on your left, take the turn off right into St John's Road.
Follow this road till the A1232 roundabout and turn right. Take the left hand turn off into Severall's Lane and head back to the start.
