Mostly flat and along canal towpaths, this route may be considered even lower in difficulty in good weather as most problems are mud related. You are quickly into countryside and this is true most of the way with a noticeable urbanisation only evident just before the end. The first leg out to Bratch locks can be substituted with a section using the disused railway that runs next to the canal at Compton and Bratch. |
