My girlfriend and I rode this route and really enjoyed it, it was well worth the effort to get to Blanchland to view this Medieval village. We stopped in Blanchland and had our lunch and a swift pint in the Lord Crewe arms. We carried on to Derwent Resevior and some wonderful countryside. We did get lost a few times because i lost my map right at the start of the ride, we made a fatal error of ending up at Shotley Bridge looking up the huge bank back up to Conset, it was a very warm day and the last couple of miles were a bit of a task to say the least. We are going to try it again now we know where we went wrong. All things said it was a really enjoyable ride Regards | ||
