| This is a mixed route of roads and trails, where the first part of the journey is on B roads to Herathfield, with some challenging gradients, moderately hilly, while the second part is a tarmac cycle route with gentle moderate hills. Starting at the Danehill Memorial, head down Freshfield Lane and Ketches Lane back to the A275. Go across the A275 and head for Splaynes Green, Fletching and Uckfield. Through Uckfield pick up the B2102 towards Heatfield. In Heatfield turn right into Station Road, (15.3 miles).
