Cycle Steps
Circular route taking in quiet roads and off road. It's more scenic than than staying on the main road but takes a lot longer so generally only go on this route once a week. Mountain bike (I use one with semi slick tyres), tourer or cyclocross bike would be ideal. Most of this route was derived from Sheffield council cycle maps. Allow 1.5 hours travelling in to Rotherham via the manor and 2hr return via Sheffield.
Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see?
The highlights of this route are High Hazel Park, Trans Pennine Trail, Sheffield canal (must obtain permit) and Beucheaf Golf Course. Bike shops - Vernon Barkers in Dronfield (shop closed but workshops still open a couple of days a week). Halfords in Rotherham, JE James in Rotherham and Sheffield.
